[Swatch] 2020 Dior Rogue Refillable Lipstick Set – Golden Night | Holiday Collection

Hi guys, hope you’re doing great. Only a few days left before Thanksgiving, and around a month before Xmas – my favorite holiday of the year! So for today’s review, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Dior Rouge Refillable Lipstick Set – which is a bit more on the luxurious side.

The snow flakes pattern on the lipstick is so pretty!

Personally, this is my very first time, purchasing something from a high-end brand! Looking at the case where they put all the lipsticks in, the samples I received from Dior, and also the way they wrapped my box, I do think this holiday collection is worth to buy! This would be a great gift to send to your families, friends or even yourself.

There are 6 colors in this lipstick set – 2020 holiday collection. However, only two has the same code number for color, but they have different finish: matte and satin.

It’s the 999 Golden Night – in satin, and the other one is the 999 Mate

All of these are wearable!

Let’s talk about the texture! The shades that state as matte: is not really mate! I thought those would be really matte, a bit dry when applying on my lips – I expect it to be something like NYX matte lipsticks or Korean matte lipsticks.

The matte shades like #999mate, #481hypnoticmatte and #772classicmatte, these melt on my lips! I would say this is kind of a good thing… Easy to apply, not really matte, so those sit nicely on my lips, and they don’t emphasize the cracks of my cracky chappy lip during this cold winter season. Matte but still give you a slightly glowy effect, and the most importantly, these won’t stain!

So yeah, if you hang out and have food, you will need to re-apply the lipstick.

Overall, which one is your favorite color ？

I personally really like the 988 rialto (if you zoom in a bit closer, you can see a hint of blue sparkling in this shade) and the 458 paris! I don’t really fit well with orangy shades, so I usually go for MLBB colors, like those two.
