About the product:
- Contains Houttuynia Cordata Extract. Houttuynia cordata is also known as fish mint.
- Studies have shown its effectiveness in antibacterial, antibiofilm, and anti-inflammatory effects against S. aureus which caused purulent skin diseases.
- Second main ingredients is 15% propolis. Propolis is a product of bee, from the sap on needle-leaved trees or evergreens. It has a sticky, greenish-brown color.
- It has various biological activities such as antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, immunostimulating and antiinflammatory, which are generally ascribed to the polyphenolic fraction.
- Antioxidant is an important element for our skin because they can neutralize harmful free radicals that would damage our cells and increase risk of conditions like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
So, based on these information, propolis targets people who are having skin concerns like acne, blemishes, hyperpigmentations, redness and inflammatory. Thus, propolis will be more suitable and benefit best for oily, acne-prone skin and dry skin, but all skin types can benefit from this ingredient.
Thoughts:
- I have oily combination skin, but during the time testing out this product, I also struggle with acne on the tip of my nose.
- But I saw a good transformation when my red big pimples started to heal, and my skin looked more healthy and brighter. But it will take times to do so since I noticed it effectiveness after using for almost 2 weeks. So I believe the functions in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant did work really well !
Packaging:
- The product is small, and it’s tinted with a gold yellow color. It looks adorable and luxury!
- Comes with a little dropper, so it’s easy to control the amount of liquid you want to get.
Texture:
- Thick, but lightweight yellowish consistency, so overall, it’s a bit watery and oily. However, it sucks into the skin barrier pretty fast. I have oily skin, but this product does not make my skin greasy, heavy or sticky at all. Wishtrend always did a really great job for people with skin concerns!
- Don’t worry about the scent because this ampoule is fragrance free!
- Since the consistency is rich, I only went for around 3-4 pumps, depending on how my skin felt that day.
Overall, if you are seeking for an ampoule to incorporate into your skincare routine after using toner and essence, Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule might be something to consider. It did not cause any breakout to my skin during the time I was testing it. It has helped my skin to look more healthier because I’ve noticed some of my acne scars start to fade away.
